Cilantro and lime is the tastiest combo. Add some cumin and you have the tres amigos of flavahs!
This hummus recipe doesn’t need tahini, which is oftentimes the reason i don’t make my own hummus (because it can be so dang expensive!). But this hummus is so flavorful and I think you will find that it is super tasty.
Enjoy wrapped in a tortilla with tomatoes, red onion and avocado. Delish!
Cilantro Lime Hummus
1 can chickpeas (drained and rinsed until the foam goes away)
1 handful of cilantro (don’t worry about being too accurate)
2 green onions (cut off the white parts)
1 clove garlic, peeled
1/2 tsp salt
1 Tbs olive oil
1 Tbs cumin
Juice of 1/2 lime
2-3 Tbs hot water
*Pulse in a food processor until smooth! Refrigerate for 1 hour before serving.
